Folios 237-238: Henry Compton, HMS Perseus, Woolwich. States that Mr Hayman has not received at any time his bounty in England but thinks that the Irish bounty was paid for his use to his friends in Cork on his entering HMS Dianna there. Given that Hayman has served with him in HMS Vanguard, HMS Foudroyant and HMS Perseus that it is not Hayman's friends intentions to withdraw him from his majesties service but they wish to place him with a Captain they know somewthing of.
