Description

Folios 153-154: William Cayley, HMS Invincible, Yarmouth Roads. He has given Captain George Brisac of HMS Iris orders as directed in the Admiralty's letter of 8 September 1800. HM Armed Brig Lady Ann, Lieutenant Leake, has been ordered to Hull to convoy the ships bound for the Mediterranean as far as Portsmouth, and HM Armed Lugger Jane, Lieutenant James Haldane Tait, to escort the Navy transport bound for Lisbon as far as the North Foreland and then to proceed to Chatham for a refit. He has given Lieutenant Glanville of HMS Ranger 10 days' leave. Andrew German, the Danish subject mentioned in the letter of 5 September, entered for HMS Invincible voluntarily at St Kitts and does not think he is entitled to his discharge.
