Folio 367: Edward Walpole Browne, Regulating Officer, Rendezvous Waterford. Responds to orders to discharge the Lieutenants and men under his command at this port. He has 20 men and boy volunteers at this Rendezvous so for their security he is obliged to retain Lieutenant Edwards and his gang until he can obtain orders from Sir Herbert Sawyer, to whom he has twice written. In the meantime he has directed Lieutenant Morris to discharge himself and the gang at Passages and awaits instructions on what to do with the volunteers.
