Folio 246: Arthur Batt Bingham, HMS Myrtle, Milford Haven. Advises that the Brothers, Robert Davis, Master, laden with iron, belonging to Fishguard, has been detained by Customs Officers until the salvage awarded to the Diligence Revenue has been paid or security given. This is similar to the Alexander, although in that case the Customs Officers would not detain the vessel until the salvage was paid or security given but have kept possession of the vessel for some 6 weeks.
