Folio 238: James John Gordon Bremer, HMS Lee, Cove of Cork. Advises that on 17 March Richard Maughan, Midshipman, found his trunk broken into and his pocket book which includes his Certificate of Servitude from the time of his entering service on 11 April 1808 on HMS Trusty. This details with whom he has served, being Bryan Hodgson, HMS Trusty, Thomas Ussher, HMS Leyden, E R Selby, Lieutenant? Robert Smith, HMS Hind, John Townshend Coffin, HMS Shearwater. Asks for a dispensation to enable him to pass his examination for a Lieutenant.
