Folios 274-275: Edward Boxer, Deal. He has no recollection of a Bill of Exchange for £30 being given to him by a seaman surnamed Grant who died on HMS Malta. This claim is made by the man's mother Jane Grant. As Lieutenant on HMS Malta he was given responsibility for safekeeping the money of the pressed men. However he had to leave all his baggage behind when he came overland from the Mediterranean when he was superceded and until he gets it he cannot check his papers.
