Folio 383: Thomas Boys, 5 George Street. He writes about a boy named James Roberts who served on his ship HMS Zealous as a boy third class. Apparently the boy was underage, as defined in the regulations and as a consequence the captain has had his pay docked the cost of victualling and paying the boy.
He explains the history of the boy's arrival on board, apparently with his father who was a second gunner on the Zealous. He says given the particular circumstances of the boy's arrival he asks to be reimbursed.
