Description

Folio 381: Thomas Barclay, Tavistock Hotel, Covent Garden , London. He acknowledges receipt of a letter from the Admiralty enclosing a letter from Lieutenant WH Smith who had served withhim on the sloop HMS Snap. He writes that he remembers the lieutenant being wounded at the island of St Thomas and as a consequence he had remained there for some time.
