Folios 251-253: Arthur Bingham, HMS Myrtle, Milford Haven. He reports some intelligence which he was given by the Master of the Manilla, a Swedish trading vessel which had come from the Canary Islands and was bound for Dublin.
An American privateer called True Blooded Yankey (or True Blooded Yankee) boarded the Manilla and robbed her. A seaman was put on board the Manilla from a Jersey ship they had previously robbed and destroyed. This man said the privateer's owners live in France which is where she was equipped, armed and manned. She had a complement of 139 many of whom were English and some of them he recognised because he had been in a French prison with them.
