Description

Folios 161-165: Sir Alexander Cochrane Vice Admiral of the Red. The document records the appointment of Captain Justice Findlay of the Sloop HMS Rover to the ship HMS Centurion.

Folios 162-163: Sir Alexander Cochrane, Vice Admiral of the Red to Commander Bruce of HMS Rover commanding him to take on board the despatch bearers Captain Edward Crofton from HMS Leopard and Captain McDougal of 85th Regiment with despatches from Colonel Brooke to the Earl Bathurst. The ship is ordered to Portsmouth with all speed.
