Folio 160: Henry Bruce, HMS Rover, Spithead. He announces his arrival having left Chesapeake on 22 September 1814 and bringing two men, Captain Edward Croft of HMS Leopard and Captain McDougall of the 85th Regiment, both bearing despatches from Vice Admiral Cochrane and Colonel Brooke. He remarks that HMS Rover is in good repair and is a fast sailor and he hopes he may remain in command of her.
