Description

Folios 147-148: William Richard Bamber, HMS Pelican, Plymouth Sound. He records his ships present weaponry has two long six pounder guns to be used as chase guns. This puts them at a disadvantage with the Guernsey vessels they are likely to come across. Accordingly he asks if he can replace his guns with two twelve pounders.
