Description

Folios 103-104: Robert Barrie, HMS Brazen, Chesapeake Bay. He reports that Rear Admiral Cockburn has appointed George Pierson as Acting Lieutenant on his shipand he asks the Admiralty to confirm the appointment. He details Lieutenant Pierson's service including that on board HMS Sophie in Chesapeake under Captain Lockyer an appointment approved by Sir John Warren. Captain Barrie describes him as a deserving young man.
