Folios 96-97: Robert Barrie, HMS Dragon, Halifax Harbour. He writes about Lieutenant Crespigny, described in the Navy List as his first lieutenant. He sayes this designation is incorrect. Crespigny was discharged from the ship in February and in any event Lieutenant George Pedlar, who moved to HMS Dragon from HMS Grampus with Captain Barrie, was always the senior Lieutenant. He makes this point because thus far Lieutenant Pedlar has neither received confirmation of his appointment nor of his promotion. He asks the Admiralty to correct this oversight.
