Description

Folio 239: Philip Bowes Vere Broke, HMS Shannon. Asks for the confirmation of the appointment by Captain Capel of Mr. Coverdale, Boatswain who replaced Mr. Stevens, who was killed in action.

Folio 240: enclosure with folio 239. Admiralty Record Office slip.

Folio 241: enclosure with folio 239. Order dated 12 June 1813 by Captain Thomas Bladen Capel, HMS La Hogue, Halifax, to Mr Coverdale, Boatswain of HMS Curlew. Appointment of Mr. Coverdale to the position of Boatswain on HMS Shannon.
