Folios 233-235: George Bentham, HMS Carnation, Portsmouth. Advises that Andrew Miller, Carpenter's Mate has been appointed to HMS Pandora, following a strong recommendation from Captain Scott. Captain Bentham had applied for him through Sir Richard Bickerton but had considerable trouble with the application and asks that the appointment to HMS Pandora is reversed and appoint someone to HMS Carnation.
