Folios 230-231: Philip Bowes Vere Broke, HMS Shannon, Spithead. He has arrived from Halifax. He encloses a copy of orders from Admiral Sir J. B. Warren and lists of vessels in the convoy, some of which parted from the convoy in gales and the others to their destinations. He has delivered Sir John Warrens dispatches ti the Admiral.
Folios 231-233: enclosure with folios 230-231. Orders dated 25 September 1813 by Sir John Borlase Warren, Admiral of the Blue and Commander in Chief of HMS ships and vessels on the American and West Indies stations to Philip Bowes Vere Broke, HMS Shannon. The orders state that Captain Broke is to take trade vessels under convoy to Spithead. and await further orders. HMS Poictiers and HMS Maidstone will accompany the ship until east of the Newfoundland Banks.
