Folio 517: George Brine, HMS Sheldrake, Hawk Roads. He says that Thomas Oliver is aged 15 and physically suitable for service in the Navy. he was pressed by Lieutenant Good, HMS Sheldrake, in the Humber.
Folio 518: enclosed with folio 517. Letter dated 10 December 1812 by Esther Oliver, at the Three Pigeons, Lynn, Norfolk. As mother of Thomas Oliver she appeals for his release from HMS Sheldrake by whom he has been impressed.
Folio 519: enclosed with folio 517. Letter dated 14 December 1812 by Richard Bacon, Surgeon, HMS Sheldrake, Grimsby Roads. He says that he has examined Thomas Oliver and that he is fit to serve in the Navy.
Folio 520: enclosed with folio 517. Letter dated 10 December 1812 by J. Dixon, Surgeon. He certifies that Thomas Oliver has a rupture and is unfit to serve in the Navy.
Folios 521-523: enclosed with folio 517. John Ackroyd, Curate, Wells, Norfolk. He confirms that Thomas Oliver was born on 2 July 1812.
