Description

Folios 495-496: Thomas Boys, HMS Zealous, off Gunfleet Beacon. He is anchored with four Russian ships of the Crown Prince division. A fifth Russian ship is in Hosely bay. On the orders of Rear Admiral Hope he will proceed to the Nore with trhe Russian ships. The Russian ships are very sickly.

Folio 496: enclosed with folios 495-496. Thomas Boys, HMS Zealous. A list of 5 Russian ships with a description.

Folio 497: blank.

Folios 498-500: enclosed with folios 495-496. George Hope, Rear Admiral of the White. Orders to Thomas Boys, HMS Zealous for escorting the Russian fleet to England.

Folios 500-502: enclosed with folios 495-496. Thomas Boys, HMS Zealous. The log of HMS Zealous, 4-9 December 1812.
