Folios 425-428: George Bell, HMS Ardent, Chatham. He is sending a copy of a letter to the Board of Ordnance asking for 9 pounder guns to be changed for 2 18 pounder long guns. They have 2 sizes of shot on board which is a disadvantage in action.
Folio 426: enclosure with folios 425-428 dated 27 May 1812 from R.M.Crew, Board of Ordnance, to Captain Bell, HMS Ardent. His requested cannot be granted without the authority of the Lords of the Admiralty.
