Folios 266-268: Joseph Bingham, HMS Egmont, off West Capel. He has received a letter asking for a report on Reverend William Rennell. He has served on this ship since 19 June 1811 and previously served on HMS Warrior with Captain Tyler, in HMS Atherton with Captain Fayerman, and HMS Formidable with Captain Morris. He is 41 years old and has a BA from Oxford. Due to ill health and a disposition to idleness he did now show the zeal expected of him. His conduct and character has been moral and correct. He has not acted as Schoolmaster and is not qualified to do so.
