Folio 503: Andrew Broun, Regulating Captain, Greenock. Peter McKenzie, Landsman, was a substitute for James Spencer on HMS Fortune. He is a 19 year old labourer. William West, Landsman, was a substitute for Rosneath Fishermen, and a 22 year old tailor. He received a bounty of 12 guineas.
Folios 504-506: enclosure with folio 503. Letter dated 18 October 1810 from Patrick McKennie, Glasgow to the Lords of the Admiralty, Admiralty Office, London. His son Peter McKennie is on board the Rosa tender at Greenock. He has a wife and family now left destitute. Offers 2 able bodied Landsmen as substitutes. Requests the reply to be sent to Messrs Cains and Hydes, Glasgow.
Folios 506-507: enclosure with folio 503. Letter dated 15 October 1810 from Beathrix West, Glasgow, care of Mr Nelson, Bridge Street, Tradestown. Her husband William West entered on board the Rosa tender as a substitute. She has 2 children and asks for 2 Landsmen to be accepted as substitutes for him.
