Folio 500: William Bligh, HMS Hindostan, Spithead. Reports his arrival from Port Jackson, new South Wales which he left on 12 May [1810]. He sent a despatch concerning his anchoring at Rio de Janeiro in the packet which sailed from there on 12 August [1810], 3 days prior to their departure. HMS Porpoise and HMS Dromedary parted company before they entered the Channel. HMS Dromedary has now anchored at Spithead. he has permission from Sir Roger Curtis to proceed to London.
