Folios 434-435: George Barker, Regulating Captain, Bristol. In response to letter Samuel Perks was brought to the Rendevous by a crimp and entered with Lieutenant Williams in September 1809 as a substitute for Henry Creech on HMS Enchantress. He is rated a Landsman, 20 years old and states he was born in Shrewsbury and is a builder. He was sent to Plymouth in the Ann tender in November and this is the first application regarding him received.
