Description

Folios 273-274: Samuel Butcher, Killarney formerly of Kerry. Asks for employment in any part of the World. He obtained his Post Rank as testimony of his conduct in the West Indies at the conclusion of the last war on HMS Guachapin when [in 1801] he captured an enemy ship after an action which lasted 2½ hours and asks that they refer to the despatches of Sir John Duckworth.
