Folios 398-399: Lord Amelius Beauclerk, HMS Royal Oak, St. Helens. In answer to Mr. Barrow's letter of 2nd December 1809 concerning Mr. Lamb's fire hearth. In his opinion it is far superior to Mr. Brodie's hearth, it has the advantage of a still head, uses less fuel and as it is divided into three parts, the potatoes can be kept separate from the meat.
