Folios 386-387: John Baker, HMS Kangaroo, off Cape Shastel [?]. Rear Admiral [John Child] Purvis despatched him to gain intelligence respecting the enemy's fleet. He has spoken to the commander of the brig Gratitude from Malaga, bound for London, who informed him Lord Collingwood had destroyed three sail of the lone, two frigates and a number of transports, possibly 15, off Barcelona.
