Folios 226-227: Charles Worsley Boys, HMS Statira, the Nore. Mr. Niel, late prisoner of war, has made a complaint against Captain Boys who advises the Admiralty that HMS Amelia had been plundered by a number of men. Both he and Captain Irby decided to question and examine the captured men and found upwards of 50 pieces of gold on Mr. Niel. They allowed him to keep the gold as he was a merchant at St Anders. Mr. Niel’s claim that Captain Boys stole linen from him is untrue as he had not personal communication with him. He therefore refutes Mr. Neil's claims that he stole the gold and linen.
