Folio 508: Andrew Broun, Regulating Officer, Greenock. Robert Roberts was impressed on 21 November 1808 on shore and discharged by him on the same day. He returned the next day with another man and the enclosed certificate to the Rendezvous and they were so abusive to the Midshipman they were both secured and placed on the tender.
Folio 509: Enclosure with folio 508: Certificate dated 5 December 1808 and signed by Thomas Lowndes. Robert Roberts is a Line-Manager on the Lion out of Liverpool and employed in the Greenland Fishing. Letter from Samuel Starieforth Liverpool, 5 December 1808. States that Robert Roberts carried the above certificate out of a coasting vessel .
