Folios 385-388: Andrew Broun, Regulating Officer, Greenock Rendezvous. States that Lieutenant Norris of the Elizabeth Tender on the night of Friday the 15 January 1808 impressed one of the Ship Wrights of this town on the 19 January 1808 the enclosed petition was brought to him. He met with the three named men on the petition and mentioned their conduct. This night about three or four hundred of them came in a most threatening manner to his house. [Total of two and half sides on the situation].
Folios 386-388: enclosures with folios 385-388. Petition dated 19 January 1808 of the Clyde Shipwrights Society at Greenock. That one of their body Alexander Weir now on the Elizabeth [Tender] was on Friday 15 January 1808 impressed. Request he be released. Signed John Marquis, John Hamilton and Robert McCorcadale. [Mentions Sir William Henry Douglass and Captain Totham].
