Folio 260: William Bradley, HMS Plantagenet, off Brest. Encloses a letter from Lieutenant Denman.
Folios 261-263: enclosure with folio 260: Letter dated 22 March 1807 by Lieutenant Denman, HMS Plantagenet, to the Admiralty. Refers to the letter to Captain Bradley and his original application dated 14 February, which had been rejected. Explains that since his employment, two brothers have died and as Executor he needs to organise their affairs, particularly the older brother who died in November 1806 and leaves a wife and children. He has been in service for 20 years, 18 of which in action and has never before requested a period of absence.
