Folios 429-430: Sir John Poo Beresford, London. Refers their Lordships to a letter he wrote asking he be allowed the extra pay and allowances for the period he was senior officer on the Halifax station following the death of Admiral Sir Andrew Mitchell. Further he asks he be paid the same allowance as was granted to Captain Losack on the death of Sir H. C. Christian in the Cape of Good Hope for Table Money.
