Folio 4: Henry Edward Reginald Baker, HMS Jupiter, Hamoaze. Encloses a letter from the purser John Bignall and supports his request for removal to a 3rd Rate [ship] and asks for the appointment of Owen Roberts in his place if Bignall's petition is granted.
Folio 5: enclosure with folio 4. Letter dated 9 March 1807 byJohn Bignall, HMS Jupiter, Hamoaze. Wishes to apply for the vacancy he knows of on HMS Alfred, describing his career and stating he does not wish to go to sea in HMS Jupiter.
