Folios 435-438: William Butterfield, HMS Indefagitable, Spithead. Reports his arrival with 12 transports which were part of the squadron involved in the capture the Cape of Good Hope, escorted by HMS Volontaire, Captain [Jocelyn] Percy. He encloses a list of Navy invalids brought home in the transports along with 26 from the army and 141 Batavian [Dutch] prisoners.
Folio 436: enclosed with folio 435. List dated 24 May 1806 by William Butterfield, HMS Indefagitable, Spithead of eight seamen discharged as invalids from ships at the Cape of Good Hope and brought home in his ship, John Grant, Boatswain of HMS Belliqueux, John Bryant, James Bryant and George Walker, Master at Arms, boy, and Cook from HMS Diadem, and Isaac Alsop, Joseph Beckett, Henry Wagstaff and James McLean, Carpenter, Cooper and two seamen from HMS Raisonable.
