Folio 241: Edward Bass, HMS Gannet, Torbay. Advises that on 5 May 1806 he saw a strange sail passing through the convoy and gave chase. The ship was the Spanish schooner Conception from the River Del Plato laden with merchandise, bound for any port in France or Spain.
