Folios 227-228: Robert Barton, HMS Goliath, Hamoaze. Asks that the decision to remove Mr Thomas Carrol from HMS Goliath to HMS Achilles be reconsidered.
Folios 228-229: enclosure with folios 227-228. Letter dated 24 January 1806 by Thomas Carrol to Capatin Robert Barton. A request not to take up an appointment on HMS Achilles but to remain on HMS Goliath. States Captain Richard King, HMS Achilles, has no objection.
