Folio 123: George Barker, Regulating Captain, Bristol. Encloses a Protection certificate on behalf of Thomas Chum impressed the previous night by Lieutenant Lucas. He is to be detained as no description was inserted.
Folio 124: enclosure with folio 123. A Protection certificate dated 25 January 1806, addressed to all Commanders and Officers of HM Ships and Pressmasters, on behalf of Thomas Chum stating he is an apprentice bound to John Richards of St. David to serve at sea.
