Folio 375: Robert Barton, HMS Goliath, Cawsand Bay. Is sending a copy of his letter to Admiral Cornwallis. Is anxious to for his conduct to be brought before a court martial as soon as possible.
Folio 376: enclosure with folio 375. Copy of letter dated 14 December 1805 from Robert Barton, HMS Goliath, Cawsand Bay, to Admiral Cornwallis. Receipt of correspondence and answers through Mr Marsden. Finding that the Admiralty still intends to supercede him from HMS Goliath he requests a court martial to enable him to justify the separation and absence from the squadron.
