Description

Folio 368: Robert Barton, HMS Goliath, off Ushant. he joined HMS Goliath at seas on 9 [May 1805] bringing his domestics. Is sending details of crew applied for by Captain Brisbane to go into HMS Arethusa. HMS Goliath is already 36 short of her complement.

Folio 369: enclosure with folio 368. Lists compiled by Robert Barton. Nominal list of 7 men, with their rating, discharged from HMS Raisonable to HMS Goliath. Nominal list of 13 men, with their ratings, taken by Captain Brisbane from HMS Goliath to HMS Arethusa. Nominal list of 10 men with their ratings of a boat's crew which Captain Brisbane intends to apply for.
