Folio 385-387: Charles Worsley Boys, HMS L'Aramanthe, Deptford. He posted a boat to prevent improper communication with the shore and as a result Lieutenant Collett refused to let a Sheriff's officer take a man. When Boys returned he let the man be arrested but requested that he be paid for his voyage and returned to his ship.
Folios 387- 389: enclosed with folios 385-387. Letter dated 13 February 1804 by Count Collett, HMS L'Aramanthe, Deptford. Two Sheriff Officers and John Cumberland a tailor came aboard with a writ for Lucas Cannivas for debt as Cumberland recognised him. He refused as the Captain was ashore. Oakes, Sheriff's Officer, was very insulting. Mr Hill was sent to fetch the Captain. Mr Oakes came again with a form but this was not legal. He did this under orders so he asks for protection from a notice from the court.
