Folios 388-390: Henry William Bayntun, HMS Leviathan, Gibraltar. He reports his arrival with the convoy. He has provisioned the ship and intends to sail to the fleet off Toulon and report to Lord Nelson. He understands that the Swift Cutter carrying dispatches to Lord Nelson has been taken by a French privateer and her Lieutenant has been killed. The dispatches he is carrying will replace those that have been lost. HMS Hindostan caught fire at sea, but all but 4 of her crew were saved by HMS Juno. HMS Maidstone is in a poor condition and he has detailled her to escort the convoy to Malta, before returning to Gibraltar for further orders.
