Folios 160-161: George Barker, Regulating Officer, Bristol. As instructed he wrote to Lieutenant Turner, the Amy tender, directing him to discharge John Eames, 2nd Mate of the Zephyr. Lieutenant Turner has refused to do so and his letter is enclosed. George Barker says that Lieutenant Turner is often disrespectful to him and is often drunk.
Folio 161: enclosed with folios 160-161. Letter dated 22 September 1804 by Lieutenant Turner, the Amy tender. He informs George Barker that he cannot discharge John Eames without a direct order from the Admiralty.
