Folio 156: George Barker, Regulating Officer, Bristol. John Adams enlisted as a volunteer.
Folio 157: enclosed with folio 156. Letter dated 28 August 1804 by Martha Adams, Bristol. She appeals for the release of her husband, John Adams, as he is the only means of support for herself and her children. She says that he was drunk when he enlisted.
