Description

Folio 389: Richard Arthur, HMS Andromeda, Cascais Bay. He encloses a copy of his orders received from Vice Admiral Martin. He has recaptured the Mount Hope.

Folio 390: enclosed in folio 389. Orders dated 22 March 1813 by Vice Admiral George Martin, Commander in Chief, HMS Impeteaux in the Tagus to Captain Richard Arthur. HMS Andromeda to meet the homeward bound convoy under escort of HMS Freya and to accompany it to the mouth of the Channel. He is then to cruise off Cape Finistere.
