Folio 366: John Alexander, HMS Shark, 23 Surrey Street, London. Has arrived from Jamaica and asks to be put on half pay because of his health
Folio 367: enclosed in folio 366. Letter dated 19 May 1811 by Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley to Captain John Alexander giving him permission to return to England because of his health.
Folio 368: enclosed in folio 366. Health survey dated 18 May 1811 by James Lucas Yeo, HMS Southampton; Thomas Graves, HMS Polyphemus and Thomas Huskisson, HMS Garland with their Surgeons. John Alexander cannot continue as Captain because of repeated attacks of debilitating fever.
