Folios 239-240: James John Charles Agassiz, Catton near Norwich.
Asks their Lordships to clarify whether a Naval officer on half pay can accept a commission in the Volunteer Corps, can receive payment for this and whether this would affect the possibility of his being employed full time by the Admiralty. He would far rather serve the Admiralty in any capacity. He has a large family to support.
