Folio 247: James Alms, HMS Repulse off the Penmarks. He refers to orders that HMS Repulse, HMS Agamemnon, HMS Nereide and the schooner Survarrow cruise off the Penmarks on the lookout for an enemy convoy bound for Brest.
He reports the capture of La Sophie, a French brig laden with wine and bound for Brest. She left the Isle of Dieu in a large convoy that has been scattered by severe winds so he has high hopes of capturing other ships. He says he has sent La Sophie to Plymouth.
He also states that HMS Neireide has been parted from the rest of the fleet and has not been seen for some time.
