Folios 286-288: Thomas Brown, HMS William, Woolwich. States that the windlass on HMS Orestes will be a great impediment to the working of her Foremast Guns and that a Capstan larger that her present one will weigh her anchors with more facility. Requests an order for her windlass to be taken away and a larger Capstan fixed and also an order for the Poop to be removed.
