Folio 188: William Robert Broughton, HMS Penelope, Yarmouth Roads. Reports the arrival of the Gun Brigs, HMS Mariner and HMS Bold with three Revenue Cutters who have been cruising between Orfordness and the Dudgeon Light this last week and have only impressed four men. Mr Hadley's vessel not having appeared he has sent HMS Mariner with 20 volunteers and pressed men to the Nore and encloses the state and condition reports [not present] of the 2 Brigs.
