Folio 183: William Robert Broughton, HMS Penelope, Yarmouth Roads. Reports the return of Lieutenant Colin Milne and states that John Johnson was impressed by the Lieutenant because he had no documents and the vessel being only 56 Tons.
Folio 184: enclosure with folio 183. Oath of Thomas Cole Mason of Harwich in Essex, Fishing Smack Owner says that John Johnson of Harwich is Mate of this departments fishing vessel called the Thomas & William, of 57 Tons and has been so upwards of 2 years. Sworn at Harwich on 16 April 1803 before J. Hopkins, Mayor.
Folios 185-187: enclosures with folio 183. Letter dated 20 April 1803 by J E [?], 133 Upper Thames Street, to The Admiralty. States that John Johnson of the Thomas and William Fishing Smack was impressed by a Lieutenant on HMS Hunter, Revenue Cutter and taken on board HMS Penelope now in Yarmouth Roads. Having been assured he would be released as he was Mate of the Fishing smack.
